Granite Installation in your home:
Congratulations on your natural stone countertops. Tile Collection is committed to meeting or exceeding your expectations for the installation of your natural stone countertops. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us.
Your countertop stone has been sealed in the shop and again at the time of installation (sealing will slow how fast things can be absorbed into the stone). This should be done six months after installation and then every year there after. The lighter the stone color, the more likely it could stain. Dark colors are very difficult to stain, or at least, less noticeable. Tile Collection has left a STONE TECH REVITALIZER GIFT BOX for you to help you get started. Always follow the directions on each product. You can also access more information on their website www.stonetechpro.com or call 1-888-STONEHELP with any specific questions.
Ceramic Tile Installation in your home:
Ceramic and porcelain tile is a beautiful and luxurious addition to your home and will look their finest when they are cared for properly. The installer will be sure to clean as much grout residue as possible without damaging the integrity of the grout. After installation is complete, a slight haze may be left on the tile from the grouting process. You should be able to remove the haze with clean water moppings (be sure to refresh water between cleanings). For stubborn grout haze, use STONETECH RESTORE RESTORATION CLEANER FOR CERAMIC TILE & GROUT. For everyday cleaning, use STONETECH ALL PURPOSE STONE & TILE CLEANEER (available in ready-to-use sprayer or concentrate). We also offer product for heavier cleaning, STONETECH KLENZALL HEAVY DUTY STONE & TILE CLEANER. You can also access more information on their website www.stonetechpro.com or call 1-888-STONEHELP with any specific questions.

Cleaning Day to Day
Once natural stone is properly sealed, it’s protected from everyday spills. Instead of being absorbed into the stone, they will bead up on the surface. When cleaning up those messes, it’s equally important to use cleaners specially formulated for stone.**Most general purpose cleaners, acidic and alkaline solutions, abrasives, ammonia or bleach will break down sealers and damage stone surfaces. Our suggestion for your daily care is using a clean cloth with mild antibacterial soap and water.**While cooking in your new kitchen, the area behind your cooktop or stove may need more attention. A few times a week we encourage you to use StoneTech*s Revitalizer Daily Use Cleaner with Protector. Not only is this an excellent cleaner for removing everyday soils and spills, but every time that you clean you are reinforcing the protection of the initial sealing.Once a year, you will want to reapply StoneTech’s Heavy Duty Stone Sealer to your natural stone. The process is a quick and easy application with a dry, clean sponge and letting the area dry overnight.Your countertop stone has been sealed in the shop and again at the time of installation (sealing will slow how fast the stone will absorb). You should seal your stone six months after installation and then every year there after.
How do I know when to reseal?
A quick and easy test to tell if your countertops need resealing:Make sure surface area is clean, dry and free of waxes and coatings. Apply a drop of water 1 inch in diameter to the stone surface. Allow the water to stand on the stone for 5-30 minutes. If the surface is already sealed, the water will bead up and stand on the surface. If the surface is unsealed, the water will absorb into the stone and darken the surface (absorption speed will depend on porosity of the stone).Check out StoneTech Professional Sealers to protect your stone.
